It’s Official – Phantom Rose Medieval is Open!

Phantom Rose Grid is pleased to announce the official Opening of Phantom Rose Medieval!

This new 5×5 region is a medieval/fantasy role play area with tons of water space for pirate ships and exploring.

View looking towards the Monastery, with Mallard Castle in the foreground.

View of Knight’s Landing with O’Malley Castle on an island to the right.

Knight’s Landing is the welcome area for the region and has information about the Region and its free gifts. There is Grid information along with Maps, etc. There are are some free Role Play clothing to help you get in the mood. And your first gifts (a hand made Trestle table and bench with sit animations, made by Lannorra). Knight’s Landing outer courtyard is set up for a local festival with a maypole and dancing/feasting area. The Landing Village has a few more gifts to find.

Do not forget to take the Adventure Quest scroll that is by the gate.

This is a fun, light hearted quest with a nice prize at the end! (When you read the quest, it will help if you know the tune to Gilligan’s Island – LOL). The Quest will take you to some of the interesting points of interest on the Region.

Cut Throat Cove is home for the Pirates. There are some mean monkey’s that you do not want to anger and some fun exploration to be had.

Not far from here lies the brooding and dangerous Citadel!

From the front gate to the portcullis, danger radiates and tells you to be very careful. Full of magic and secrets, the Citadel is another of Lannorra’s new creations.

Dragons Heart Castle is the new creation and labor of love for Lannorra.

Huge, with many detailed and furnished rooms, it is worth the time to explore. Lannorra made some lovely medieval/antique pieces for it.

Castle Chapel.

One of the Castle guest rooms.

And if you have ever wondered about Billiard tables, take a look at the antique “Billet” table Lannorra researched and made. (It is on the first floor, near the gift shop). You can also click the sign to go to a website with more detailed information!

Another must see stop is the huge Monastery, built by Lannorra’s good friend, Tenshi Engel. This hand made, unique structure is very detailed with some RL art painted by Tenshi, along with many areas where the monks live and work.

From the dock, you walk through the busy marketplace to the imposing Monastery. Follow the path over a draw bridge and thru the portico gates.

It is a massive structure and worth exploring!

And last but not least, Lannorra did not forget her Mer Nation! Medieval is home to the latest Mer folk area, the Underwater Kingdom of Lyonesse! There is a special gift, a shark ride, and lots of space for Mer folk to swim and enjoy.

As with all of the Phantom Rose Mer areas, Lyonesse is connected via the Mer Portal, which allows Mer folk to travel underwater to every Mer area on the Grid (8 areas!). Each area has a unique gift tied to the region theme. The starting area for all of Phantom Rose Mer Nation, is Akrotiri, accessible directly from Opensimworld beacon. If you come via the map, you end up at the grid welcome region, and must TP to the Welcome Grotto.

There is also an underwater Colosseum, that has seahorse chariot races! The chariots are made by Lannorra. Up to 6 riders may race at a time, with 6 color choices. Or unlimited Mer folk may do swim races to see who can swim the fastest around the course!

I hope you have enjoyed this look at my newest region! There are temp rez boats (and temp rez Mer shark riders) to use and many things to explore and discover. I urge you to try the Adventure Quest. It is a fun and easy way to get another prize!

Warmest Regards,

Lannorra
